Fractal Philosophy
“Fractal Geometry is not just a chapter of mathematics, but one that helps Everyman to see the same world differently.”
-Benoit B. Mandelbrot, Father of Fractal Geometry
A fractal is a rough or fragmented geometric shape that be split into parts, each of which is a reduced size copy of the whole, created by an evolving mathematical equation undergoing the process of iteration – repetition driving towards a purpose or goal
Iteration is the feedback of recursion, thus defining the infinite using finite variables. A fractal is the organic and mathematic explanation of the holographic universe: a macrocosm to microcosm expression that we are all unique individual pieces whole and complete to ourselves and yet a working part of a greater organism. Self-affinity and self-similarity are the guiding principles of the infinite fractal.
Fractal Philosophy – Exploring the endless connections. They are ever-evolving, following intricate geometric code, synchronizing for the exquisite moments of complexity creating an eternally shifting dance between the infinite and the manifest. Hidden in the chaos is divine order, self-organizing and free from the rigidity of constants. Change echoes through each tiny, particle, but by looking at the organism as a whole we see the universe constantly creating new symmetries and unpredictable coherence.
“At any given moment, life is completely senseless. But viewed over a period, it seems to reveal itself as an organism existing in time, having a purpose, trending in a certain direction” – Aldous Huxley
The Mandelbrot formula appears to generate a totally random and meaningless set of numbers. It is only when millions of calculations are performed and plotted on a two-dimensional plane that the hidden geometric order is revealed. This equation can’t be solved, only experienced. It is dynamic, existing in time.
Every point in the plane of complex numbers is either outside the Mandelbrot set, thus infinite, or inside it, finite. The Mandelbrot fractal thus portrays two-dimensionally the infinity between the whole numbers zero and one, the potential and the actual. It has been mathematically proven that all the black atoms of the Mandelbrot fractal are connected, equating to the intangible connections between every moment, every possible perspective.
You are simultaneously everything and nothing, a complete divine being and a cog in the greater machine. There is not a course set in stone, immovable or able to be fully prophesized…but there is a direction we are all spiraling towards, a growing tend that expands the complexity of our connections. Decrypt the messages around you, be receptive to the voice that speaks through the natural processes of science and spirit. Harmonize your distance between the infinite and the finite, embracing your holographic self.
